CIMCO started as a brokerage company, trading ferrous and nonferrous directly to mills, foundries, and refineries.

2003

First brokerage office.

2003

Won JCI contract for scrap management, still a customer today.

2004

Acquired Sinow & Wienman in Dixon, IL, first processing facility.

2006

Acquired Second Wind Recycling in Ottawa, IL for stock.

2008

Acquired Karco in Carbondale, IL for stock.

2008

Constructed greenfield yard in Sterling, IL on a 30-acre parcel, moved Sinow & Wienman to Sterling.

2009

Constructed greenfield yard in Marion, IL on 18 acres.

2009

Installed shredder at Sterling, IL yard to significantly expand processing capacity.

2010

Constructed greenfield yard in Milan, IL on 14 acres.

2010

Created Riverside Logistics, Cimco’s own transportation company.

2011

Upgraded the Sterling shredder and added high polarity eddy currents to enhance fines recoveries, the first of many process expansions to enhance recoveries.

2012

Acquired a second smaller shredder, allowing Cimco to refine processing, impetus to creating PMI.

2013

Constructed greenfield yard and new corporate offices in Loves Park, IL on 10 acres.

2015

Acquired Alternative Recycling in Milwaukee, IL.

2019

Cimco created Precision Metal Industries (PMI) as a niche processing facility to upgrade recovery capabilities, an industry leader in innovation.

Sold Milwaukee operating facility.
